An Australian baby survived being hit by a train.
The 15-month-old boy - whose pram has been caught on closed circuit television (CCTV) rolling towards the edge of a platform before disappearing beneath the oncoming train - miraculously escaped with only minor bruises and grazing, despite being dragged underneath for several metres.
Railway operators believe the toddler owes his survival to the quick thinking of the train driver, who slammed on the breaks.
The boy's grandmother - who claims she only took her eyes off the pram for a second - has since been treated for shock and was "very distressed".
Kate Jessop, a paramedic at the scene, said: "She's had an incredible fright and it's the most miraculous circumstances... he is as uninjured as he is."
