A US car crash set 17 million bees loose on the motorway.
A truck involved in a four-vehicle crash in Minneapolis which had been hauling 7,000 bee hives across the country, set free millions of the insects on the highway, stinging hundreds of motorists and emergency workers.
Rescue crews had to use fire hoses to douse the angry swarm of bees, in an attempt to get to trapped people underneath the wreckage.
Minnesota State Patrol spokesman Eric Roeske said one person died and another was airlifted to a hospital.
